City Beach 88 is the first and only city beach in the Pietermaai District. The beach is open daily from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM. You can lounge on the comfy beach chairs, kick back with a refreshing beer in hand, or sip from a tropical cocktail while overlooking the ocean. Of course you can also go for a swim here — as long as the waves aren’t too high. The menu consists of paninis, finger foods and a variety of crisp pizzas from the Italian stone oven. There’s a daily beer bucket and wine bottle special from 5:00 – 6:00 PM. There’s a happy hour on Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM and on Fridays from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
